Our Off-Season Activities
As a seasonal business owner I am frequently asked, “What do you do in the off-season?” While visions of relaxing on an island beach or slaloming down a powdery ski hill may cross the requester’s mind, this just isn’t the case. Of the many activities we try and participate in, there are three that I find most valuable.
Education. We attend courses to help improve our knowledge of plants, pests, and products. I also volunteer on the board of directors for the Utah Pest Control and Lawncare Association which organizes classes for pesticide safety and training for licensed Utah applicators.
Preparation. Getting ready for the next season is no small task. We repair equipment, prepare marketing materials, and organize our routes to be more efficient.
Winter Pruning. For over 13 years I’ve built up a solid customer base of pruning fruit and ornamental trees. I’m able to put my ornamental horticulture education to good use. If you’re interested in having your trees professionally pruned request a free estimate.
Thank you for your business!
