We understand your concern. Please know that Moore Green is prepared to help your lawn survive. The good news is that Fall temperatures are good for lawns. Cooler temperatures eliminate stress on turf and, at night, can produce dew to help with moisture.
If necessary, we will increase the amount of slow-release fertilizer to discourage possible burn during long periods of no water. We may choose to use a granular fertilizer that won’t activate until it gets moisture. We typically opt for a granular fertilizer when the leaves begin to cover the ground, to prevent removal of the application with rakes and blowers.
Weed control will continue to be a part of your program. Fall is the best time to eliminate pesky weeds, especially perennials like dandelions, morning glory, oxalis, etc.
Title: Recharge Your Soil with Fall Soil Booster
I love to see people’s faces when I mention that our Soil Booster treatment contains ingredients such as humic acids, molasses, sea kelp, yeast, and yucca extract. Together, they feed soil microbes and build soil activity. The Fall Soil Booster helps to reduce the thatch layer which, when larger than 1/8″, can be a breeding ground for lawn insects and even prevent water from reaching the soil.
If your lawn has struggled from drought and heat stress, the Fall Soil Booster is a good way to help repair damaged areas. You can easily add it to your program by accessing your account on our website.
