We understand your concern. Please know that Moore Green is prepared to help your lawn survive. The good news is that Fall temperatures are good for lawns. Cooler temperatures eliminate stress on turf and, at night, can produce dew to help with moisture.
If necessary, we will increase the amount of slow-release fertilizer to discourage possible burn during long periods of no water. We may choose to use a granular fertilizer that won’t activate until it gets moisture. We typically opt for a granular fertilizer when the leaves begin to cover the ground, to prevent removal of the application with rakes and blowers.
Weed control will continue to be a part of your program. Fall is the best time to eliminate pesky weeds, especially perennials like dandelions, morning glory, oxalis, etc.
